Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American who was born in Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, is Anya Taylor-Joy. Her father is an Argentine of Scottish as well as English heritage. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's prior marriage. The family is initially of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. According to Taylor-Joy, this relocation was difficult and she refused to learn English in the hopes of returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was forced to change schools. Then she attended Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes and participated in plays. When she was 16 she left the school and pursued a career as an actress full-time. Taylor-Joy has always wanted to become an actor.
